I started The Binghamton Dime in January 2009, and am currently it’s only writer. It’s a way for me to follow the Mets more closely, and pass that knowledge on to you. But it’s also a way for me to report to you about the Binghamton Mets, who I will see on a nightly basis this year.
I will also try to bring you exclusive video of the B-Mets if there are no legal or copyright issues.
My background
I graduated in May 2008 with a B.A. in Communication Arts with a focus on journalism from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. I spent on year there writing for the news and sports sections of the school newspaper, The Tartan, covering speaking events, campus news, college sporting events, and general sports opinion pieces. The next year I was promoted to Sports Editer, when I managed the staff writers, and edited the sports section.
The following summer, I completed my training at CSB School of Broadcast, and did a five months internship with 950 ESPN in Philadelphia.
I am now working as a Video Production Assistant with the Binghamton Mets for the 2009 season. I hope to bring you up to speed on what’s going on up there, since most of you won’t get the chance to see them.
I hope you enjoy my spin on things and keep coming back. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at dwebb235@gmail.com.
